Join in on this mountain bike skills course where you will learn how to connect with your bike going up hills! This is all about honing in on your core mountain bike skills and mastering that up hill climb on gravel and trails. If hill fitness is one of your goals then this is the course for you.
– Learn the best body positioning and how to use your core strength
– Master cadence (leg spin) and gear changing
– Learn how to gain hill fitness through a variety of training tools
– Be prepared for some ‘good’ hill climbs (and yes we get to come back down YAY)
Mastering this skill will allow you to gain fitness and take charge of your mountain bike riding
Duration: 3 hrs 9.45am – 12.45pm
Location: Maraetai Forest – Rewa Rd Entrance
This session is designed for those with ‘some hill fitness’ and are comfortable riding on grade 2 + trails. The first hill we are climbing up is 1 km long! The trail sections of this lesson may be muddy and ride more like a grade 3. This session is not suitable for those who are not comfortable riding on Grade 2 trails or don’t like mud!
